  we all know the wt basis for disfellowshipping, (1 corinthians 5:9-13) 9 12 for what do i have to do with judging those outside?

  do you not judge those inside, 13 while god judges those outside?

  remove the wicked [man] from among yourselves.. if removing "the man" is a protection for the congregation and no police are called, what does it say about the witnesses view of the world?

  I just thought this was an absolutely extraordinary point the commission made. They have skillfully tied the abuse cover-up to the JWs twisted worldview:

  Sure we JWs will DF an abuser to "keep the congregation clean," but the rest of you "worldly people" are going to die at Armageddon anyway. Why in the hell should we care about you?

  I can easily say the only recourse for them at this stage is to let the elders hang and say they were the problem not following direction. His lies will be the perfect cover.

  Those elders who have testified will be thrown under the bus so fast by the society's representatives they won't know what hit them.

  remember there was a talk about not listening to "false stories" about sexual abuse from apostates on jw's fantasy station?

  did the governing body put it out there as preemptive damage control because they knew this was coming?

  they must have had subpoenas giving them a heads up.

  Funny thing. . . .

  On the JW broadcast (I think it was actually the daily text) Lett assures everyone that these allegations of sexual abuse are apostate lies. . .

  .. . . . .but not once in this case has any of the elders or CO/DO mentioned this "fact" in their testimony before the state. . .

  If what Lett said was true, wouldn't it completely exonerate them? 😉

  These guys (the Royal Commission members) are sharp as hell.

  They have obviously done ASTONISHING amounts of research, and they've got this thing figured from every conceivable angle.

  Amazing stuff. I am impressed.
